From shelves to kitchen cabinets, this prewar apartment needed a modern upgrade. The wine shelves in the kitchen, the library lighting, and the banquet seating are tailored to the specific needs of the client. The new fully renovated kitchen combined black and white colors with custom shelves and banquets and a reconfiguration of the space.

In an effort to make the bookshelves appear less massive and more elegant, the most minimal move of pulling the center portion out and curving it achieved a maximum effect. Lighting mounted above the bookshelves filter light all the way down the wall so that evening entertaining is bathed in soft light along the books.
